LINE finally launches its app on iPad : Nidhi Infotech Reviews

Nidhi Infotech Reviews :

Line : An Asian Messaging giant, which has built a substantial business selling stickers and in-app games purchases to an engaged multi-million strong user-base of its free core app, has finally released a dedicated iPad app. It already had a desktop client, and multiple smartphone apps.

Last week the company also finally revealed details of the active monthly user count for its messaging service — pegging MAUs at around 170 million, with its registered users numbering 560 million. The core messaging service is free. Line monetizes via in-app purchases such as the aforementioned stickers.

The Line iPad app is described as a “sub-device” for the smartphone version, so it’s not possible to create new Line accounts on the iPad. Rather the idea is to allow existing Line users to get access to their friend lists and previously purchased stickers when using Apple’s tablet.

The app is not as fully featured as Line on smartphones. At launch, Line for iPad is pure-play messaging only, so there’s no support for voice or video calls yet. But images, videos and voice messages can be shared within text chats. Line says it intends to add more features to the app in time.

The app requires iPads running iOS 7 or above. Some 16 languages are supported at launch, with Line dubbing it a global iPad app. Expanding onto another device type expands Line’s reach, while seeking to make the most of the larger screened iPads to amp up Line’s appeal in multitasking scenarios.

Line is aggressively lining up new product launches to bolt onto its messaging platform, with a raft of planned launches slated for winter 2014 including Line Pay, to support making payments via its app or sending money to other Line users; Line Taxi, which looks like an Uber style on-demand ride hailing service but partnering with national taxi companies, starting in Japan; the soft launch of Line Wow, an on-demand food delivery service, again in partnership with an existing company; Line Maps for Indoors, targeting navigation in commercial facilities such as shopping malls, again starting in Japan; and Line Music, a subscription streaming service.

Why we need a little “D” ? – Nidhi Infotech Reviews

Nidhi Infotech is a training institute in Bangalore which offers training in the latest technologies.  Here is a review about the ABC of Vitamin D that most of them never knew.

Article Credits : TOI

Happy to stay indoors in this torrid heat? Well, here’s a good reason to step out: your body needs the daily dose of vitamin D that comes from exposure to the sun. Seven out of every 10 Indians are estimated to be at risk from D-deficiency -a curious statistic for a tropical country that gets plenty of sun through the year.

GO FOR SOME SKIN SHOW

Nidhi Infotech Reviews about the Vitamin D

Doctors say one reason for this is our darker skin tone. The vitamin D present in the skin gets ac present in the skin gets activated when the sun’s rays fall on us. The more the melanin, the less the production of vitamin D by the skin. Other factors are excessive use of sunscreen and increasingly indoor lifestyles. “So many people now work the graveyard shift; people are relying on closed modes of transport like cabs, cars and the metro… all these reduce exposure to the sun,“ says Dr Yuvraj Kumar, head of orthospaedics at Asian Institute of c Medical Sciences, Faridabad. i The vegetarian diet, staple of t many Indians, is also a contributing factor, he adds.Meats, eggs and fish oils are F rich vitamin D sources.

SLOWDOWN FACTOR

Symptoms of D-deficiency s include fatigue, general pain e in weight-bearing areas, lack r of sleep and loss of ap petite. K K Singhal, 64, had been experiencing these problems after retirement. “I used to go for a walk only in the evening and wasn’t getting enough sun exposure.

My doctor also told me that after 50 the risk of deficiency is higher as the skin does not make as much vitamin D and the kidneys (crucial for metabolizing the vitamin) also slow down,“ says the Delhi-based senior citizen. Singhal has been taking vitamin supplements for three months now and re ports better health.

FACTS OF D MATTER

The vitamin helps in absorption of calcium and phosphorus, both crucial for strong bones and teeth. The earliest evidence of this was recorded some 300 years ago by physicians treating rickets in children.

Recent studies have also linked it to a host of other problems such as heart dis ease, diabetes and i n f e r t i l i t y. A 30-year-long study that monitored 10,000 Finnish children from birth to adulthood found that those who had been given vitamin D supplements during in fancy had a nearly 90% lower risk of developing type 1 diabetes. And a 2008 study of 50,000 men by the nutrition department of Harvard School of Pub lic Health found that the risk of heart attack doubled in men with D-deficiency .

However, doc tors remain cautious, maintaining that the linkage between vitamin D and bone health is the only one that’s well established. “What we know is that it helps in building strong bones and muscles and having healthy teeth and nails,“ says Dr Rajeev Thukral, senior orthopaedic consultant at Delhi’s Max Super Specialty Hospital.

RX FOR D

You can find out your vitamin D levels by doing a blood test that costs around Rs 3,000. A healthy Indian adult needs 400 IU of the vitamin daily, ac cording to the Indian Council of Medical Research. This can be achieved with a 30-minute walk in the morning.

For individuals deficient in vitamin D, Dr Thukral recommends 40-45 minutes of walk in the sun, “ideally with out wearing a cap hat and sunscreen“. “Taking a vitamin D tablet once every week for a couple of years will also help in restoring it to healthy levels,“ he adds. It’s best to take vitamin supplements under medical supervision.

Top 5 Reason why Facebook is downfalling ? – Nidhi Infotech Complaints

Nidhi Infotech Complaints about the recent acquisition and Business Orient-ism of Facebook. It is getting more business minded than being the place to cherish and Enjoy.

Here are the 5 reasons that explains why the Facebook downfall is guaranteed.

Nidhi Infotech Complaints about Facebook downfall
Nidhi Infotech Complaints about Facebook downfall

5. It started transmogrified into a “selling” website – Facebook was once a happy place for users. Everyone could remember using Facebook as somewhere where you can sit back, relax and socialize with your friends. But then, it slowly turned into an e-commerce website. Everything went havoc when Facebook started to collect more charges to brands. By that time, Facebook has slowly become Fa-Mazon!

4. It experimented with the users’ feelings – Users were somehow treated as “social frankensteins”, manipulating their emotions with statuses. As far as online marketing is concerned, website owners should think about their viewers and customers. It’s a no-brainer to every businessman that customers are what your business thrives. And if you made your customers feel uneasy, then you might just get a big portion of your traffic pop-out of your reach.

3. Scary Terms and Conditions – “For content that is covered by intellectual property rights, like photos and videos (IP content), you specifically give us the following permission, subject to your privacy and application settings: you grant us a non-exclusive, transferable, sub-licensable, royalty-free, worldwide license to use any IP content that you post on or in connection with Facebook (IP License). This IP License ends when you delete your IP content or your account unless your content has been shared with others, and they have not deleted it.”

In short, Facebook can use any of your information and posts, even though you already erased your account, as long as it still exists on other accounts. This is just one of the many scary agreements that you may have overlooked when registering at Facebook. Remember, never ever include something on your Terms and Agreements that could scare possible customers away.

2. The use of Buy buttons – This is just one stage of Facebook’s metamorphosis. The buy button might be useful for marketers for easier and faster engagements, but it would be a magnet to scammers and hackers. Imagine getting millions of dollars directed to hackers’ wallets without anyone noticing it. When you own a wesbite

1. The forcing of “messenger app” separation – Facebook might think separating one aspect of their “already complete package” application may help their users to maximize chatting. And the thing is, the users don’t actually care at all. And what could happen when you dissect your business just to earn more? Furious customers. Lesson learned : Just be simple and always be user-friendly.

So what could we learn from Facebook? We shouldn’t be too overconfident with our abilities and our reputation. Yeah, your website could be a great foundation of the internet industry, but that doesn’t make your business invincible.

Learn from our mistakes. Listen to your viewers and customers. Because sometimes, being consistent with your action is better than being blunt and hardy.

HTC One Mini

HTC One Mini is a living proof of excellence that midrange phones carry. HTC One Mini is a smaller, slightly compromised and cheaper version of HTC One. However, the compromise is not a huge one. There a few hardware shorting comings when you compare it to the original flagship. But they are certainly livable flaws.

HTC One mini has a 4.3 inch LCD display with a resolution of 720 X 1280 pixels. It has a 1.4 GHz dual-core Snapdragon 400 processor. It has 1GB of RAM and 16GB of storage – however it doesn’t give us options of external expansion options. The smartphone runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. It has a beautiful super AMOLED body that makes it one of the best looking midrange smartphones.

Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini

Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini is another shrunk version of its flagship and packs outstanding features. It has a 4.3 inches super AMOLED display with round curvy body with a metallic lacing on the edges to keep everything together and make the device physically solid.

Design-wise Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini is one of the simpler looking devices and that is what makes it brilliant. It has a neat, clean and uncomplicated design and yet looks very stylish.

Sony Xperia Z1 Compact

Sony Xperia Z1 Compact is more or less the same thing as Xperia Z1 except for the screen size – and of course price. Z1 Compact offers a 4.3 inch HD display at 720 X 1280 megapixels. Like most Sony devices it has a square-ish design and a strong metallic body. You can see that design-wise this device stands out from the rest. Somehow it has a unique look.

And let’s forget the looks; the device has 20.7 megapixels camera!

Samsung Galaxy Grand 2

We have another Samsung device on our list and Android users shouldn’t be surprised as Samsung offers the best of both worlds – premium and cost effective. Galaxy Grand 2 is one of the bigger mid-range phones out there. It offers 5.2 inch TFT display with HD properties with a resolution of 720 X 1280 pixels.

It has a very similar design to S4 with a round curvy body with metallic edges but above all a clean and stylish design.

Moto X

We have saved the best for the last. Moto X has a customizable design with interchangeable back panels. The color choice varies a lot. What makes Moto X special is its customizable design and other features such as voice controls, quick-launch camera options, excellent screen with 4.7 inches, a decent 10 megapixels camera.

If you have a thing for vibrant looking smartphones and customization, you should definitely go for Moto X. Moto X may not even qualify as midrange phone, many will argue that its prices globally make it a budget phone with jam packed features and outstanding design.

Libya’s main Airport seazed by Islamist Militia, Conflict deepens

Nidhi Infotech Training Insitute in Bangalore reviews about the #ISIS activity happening at Syria and other places.

Libya’s main international airport has been captured by Islamist militants, the fighters and local news networks reported, as the country continued its descent into sectarian conflict and chaos.

The Islamist groups, led by a militia from the western city of Misrata under the umbrella of “Operation Dawn,” said they had captured the airport in Tripoli on Saturday after more than a month of fighting against the liberal Zintan militias, who have been assigned by the government to guard the airport since 2011.

Arabic news networks confirmed the airport had been seized by the Misrata militias, and photos of their fighters celebrating were circulated across social media. At least 90% of the airport’s facilities, including 20 passenger jets, were reported destroyed in the fighting, causing an estimated $2 billion in losses.

Neighboring Egypt is set to host a regional meeting on Monday to discuss the Libyan crisis. The meeting is expected to include foreign ministers from Egypt, Libya, Tunisia, Algeria, Sudan and Chad, as well as representatives of the Arab League and the African Union’s convoy to Libya.

Libya’s newly elected parliament issued a statement not long after the airport seizure designating the militant groups involved as terrorist organizations.

In Libya’s highly fluid conflict, Operation Dawn was launched by the Islamist militias against the Libyan National Army and troops loyal to a secular rogue army general, Khalifa Haftar.

In an effort to rid Libya of the Islamist militias, Haftar organized Operation Dignity last May in Benghazi. He was later joined by the Libyan Army forces deploying away from the GNC’s authority.

However, his efforts were severely set back when the Islamists of Ansar al-Sharia bombed Benghazi’s largest special forces base and announced the rule of sharia law in the city.

For the first time during the Libyan clashes, air raids were carried out against camps of Islamist groups last week. While Haftar’s forces claimed responsibility for the attacks, a spokesman for Operation Dawn accused both Egypt and the United Arab Emirates of leading the attacks.

On Sunday, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah denied any involvement by his country’s forces.

Some White Lies your Employers and Recruiters tell

Nidhi Infotech reveals recruiters lies
some White lies

It had to happen right? You write an article about the lies people tell on a resume and it leads to the inevitable commentary and experiences from people on the other side of the fence to potential employers who feel that, as candidates, they also have been lied to. The truth and reality is telling lies when it comes to employment is a game of two halves – on the one side you have candidates wanting to secure a role (and doing all they can to secure it) and employers who are not always honest about the remuneration, actual role duties, scope of the work and even the organizational culture.

So, here are some of the more common place lies that employers and recruiters tend to tell when sitting in front of candidates or writing copy for job advertisements (and no, this is not a broad brush that all employers and recruiters are guilty of this sort of stuff just as all candidates don’t lie on a resume!):

Don’t forget to comment about your own experiences with employers and recruiters – let’s really get this conversation going!

“We’ll get back to you in a few weeks” – is a really common one. Often the recruiter or hiring manager would have made their mind up during the interview that you are probably not the person for them. It begs the question why not just let the candidate down gently so everyone can move on? Because they may want to keep your name on the list in case the preferred candidate turns the role down and they can re-present you. For candidates you may leave the interview thinking you are still in with a chance thereby letting your job search slow down a little in the process. When you do find out you don’t have it the shock to your confidence may be more than if you had have just been told up front. Some advice – ask bluntly if you are in fact in the mix and never be afraid to let them know that you’re actively looking for other roles.

“We’ll keep your resume on file” – sure there is a big filing cabinet somewhere or database that just so happens to keep your information. The reality is quite different. Often jobs for hire are in that moment of time and so the resumes will only ever be relevant to that point in time as well. Sure many organizations do retain your data but that does not mean to see they are pro-active and go hunting when another opportunity comes up. They are more likely to re-advertise and invite a whole new stream of potential applications – so, don’t rely on someone to keep your details – actively ensure you are still interested.

“We offer excellent benefits” – ah that old chestnut! Come work for us and the sky is the limit, we have a great culture and benefits that other employers could only dream of offering. It is true of some. I mean, I toured Google’s Sydney HQ recently and let me tell you if they say they offer great benefits they really do! But, never rely on the statement – always do your homework and test the statement being made by asking specific questions.

“We have the best culture” – again, that is possible but you only ever know when you go to work there right? Well, there are some signs that the culture is not that hot – such as why are so many people leaving as opposed to be promoted internally? Saying they have an excellent culture is one of those statements people make because they think it’s both a positive and harmless – well, it can also be soul destroying if it turns out the truth is the opposite!

“They want a candidate with more experience.” – No, it’s a standard response because it’s easier than giving you simple and honest feedback. Often the reality is very much the truth – people applying for roles that they just don’t have the experience for. What would be very useful is a few minutes on the phone or by email explaining what they could do to gain experience that may be close enough to giving you a role. Dell and Microsoft have done this in the past and it leaves people with a positive engagement experience – but, all too often, employers and recruiters see this as an unnecessary task because, after all, they are busy. Here is the kicker – a lot of candidates put an immense amount of time and effort into applying for roles and it would be good if some time investment would be put into them in return.

There are, of course any number of job advertisements that are jam packed of embellishments so the anecdotal evidence is out there – when it comes to telling porkies, lies, embellishing and talking a whole lot of trash talk – it’s not just candidates and job seekers, employers and recruiters are just as much to blame! (just remember its not everyone!)

So, what has your experience been?
